Why acetate?
Cellulose acetate is a bio-based material made from cellulose derived from wood pulp or cotton fibers. It has several benefits compared to traditional plastics. Our clips are crafted with this material for its eco-friendly properties, superior durability and luxurious feel, ensuring long-lasting pieces that align with our commitment to quality and sustainability.
How are the pins made?
The meticulous process of hand making our pins begins by precision-cutting acetate sheets into desired shapes, initially flat. These pieces then undergo a tumbling process to refine any edges before being molded to their desired shape, one by one. Finally, each piece is individually assembled and hand-polished to achieve its glossy finish.
How do I care for my pin?
To care for your pin, simply wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residue or buildup. Store in your Apricité dust bag provided with your order when not in use. Read more in our Care Guide.
