Apricité Studios is a Swedish-founded brand born in Sydney, Australia, with a mission to redefine and elevate the everyday.

Established in 2021, our foundation draws inspiration from the marriage of Scandinavian minimalism and Australian boldness. Through intentional designs and conscious craftsmanship, we are proud to bring you a contemporary approach to your most loved essentials.

Every vision is born from a desire, and behind that desire lies a challenge. Our journey began with a fundamental realisation: There was a lack of harmony between beauty and functionality in the products available on the market.

“I remember when I bought my first hair clip. I fell in love with the idea of it, but couldn’t stand the execution. It was made of plastic, it was brittle, the colour choices were limited, it kept falling out of my hair and the claws were digging into my scalp making it almost impossible to wear for any length of time. So, I set out to create what I couldn't find and to demonstrate that it is possible to create something that is both beautiful and functional – while also being a better choice for the environment. And just like that, Apricité was born.”

We are constantly asking ourselves how we can do more, be better and make a greater impact — and that starts by reimagining everything that a product and an industry can be.

We strongly believe in the value of a well made, elevated essential. However, we also recognise that in a world coloured by linear fashion and a disposable mindset, these are becoming increasingly hard to come by.

We wanted to slow things down and rediscover the power of an intentional design and a love for the craftsmanship behind it.

We are firm believers in the saying “Buy Better – Keep Forever”. Through carefully considering every single detail of our products, we are able to create thoughtful and long lasting pieces that are not only pretty, but also superior in their functionality.

Our products are made using only the highest quality, renewable materials. Our hair clips are carefully hand-crafted using premium eco-friendly acetate – a plant based material with significantly heightened biodegradability, superior durability and long-lasting properties. We believe in innovation and are always exploring the latest ways to further reduce our footprint.

We exclusively collaborate with audited partners (BSCI - Business Social Compliance Initiative, SMETA - Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) to ensure standards of labour, health and safety, environmental performance, and ethics are being met. We work closely with our team, and conduct regular inspections and certification requests as part of our routine process.

All our fabrics have been tested for harmful substances and toxic chemicals according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.

We work to take care in every detail of our business, from the products we create to the packaging it is delivered to you in. All of our packaging is designed to be fully biodegradable and recyclable. We prioritise the use of recycled materials whenever possible. We are dedicated to minimising any single-use plastic in our supply chain by replacing it with environmentally-friendly alternatives. Any printing uses environmentally friendly inks and we steer clear from any coatings or similar that negatively affect biodegradability.

As a small business, we do everything we can to be better and as we grow, we will continue to explore new ways to improve.
