Why acetate?
Cellulose acetate is a bio-based material made from cellulose derived from wood pulp or cotton fibers. It has several benefits compared to traditional plastics. Our clips are crafted with this material for its eco-friendly properties, superior durability and luxurious feel, ensuring long-lasting pieces that align with our commitment to quality and sustainability.
How are the clips made?
The meticulous process of hand making our clips begins by precision-cutting acetate sheets into desired shapes, initially flat. These pieces then undergo a tumbling process to refine any edges before being molded to their desired shape, one by one. Finally, each piece is individually assembled and hand-polished to achieve its glossy finish.
How do I care for my hair clip?
To care for your clip, simply wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dirt and store in your Apricité dust bag provided with your order when not in use. When styling, apply any styling products and let dry before securing the clip to avoid any potential residue buildup. Read more in our Care Guide.
